He's an Arsenal, not a Palace, fan though. The Arse? Well there is no hope for him. Anyway I think KalKai is cute.

Hopefully but we all know if a player decides to leave then there's nothing the club or manager can do. Not strictly true. If we don't want to sell him we can either just say no, or ask a highly inflated price that no one is likely to pay. Leicester did it with Mahrez, before selling when they were ready. I don't believe Wilf would ask to be transfer listed, as I think he values the fan worship too much. However, if he does want to play for a bigger club then I think we need to say to him to wait until next summer when we've had plenty of time to prepare for it and then refuse to sell until then. To let him move with less than a month until the season starts would be a very very bad move for us, unless the club has already been planning for it.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Depends on the terms of Wilf's new contract ... surely, the club wouldn't up his wages without wanting something in return? Perhaps that may have been too much for Wilf to live with altho £125k a week sounds pretty good to me. I would have thought that if anyone is going to move on for big money then surely, it would have happened by now? So perhaps it's more likely we'll see a few new faces coming in over the next weeks ... even if they are only loans? Edited by Henry of Peckham (14 Jul 2018 9.15pm)

He put in a transfer request not last Christmas but the Christmas before so his already stayed a season and half longer than he wanted, if Chelsea come in for him this summer(highly likely) the club would be stupid to stand in his way, we would get another 6 months at best, risk having an unhappy player and anything longer than 6 months would see his value more than likely decrease rather than increase.

Are you able to provide a single piece of verifiable evidence to back that up, bearing in mind he signed a new five year deal last summer?

Thanks. It was certainly a clever way for his agent to get Zaha a pay rise.
