Does anyone think that Labour are saying 'we can't run a leadership election without it resembling a clowns wake but you can trust us on defence, immigration and with the economy'.

It's fair to say that they haven't covered themselves with glory.

Does anyone think that Labour are saying 'we can't run a leadership election without it resembling a clowns wake but you can trust us on defence, immigration and with the economy'. Well last time they had a leadership election they selected Ed Milliband, who resembled a well dressed, cognitively deficient with all the charisma of sociopath, who looked uncomfortable in front of a camera, so I think its fair to say that they're incapable of running a leadership election. The time before that they selected someone who arguably would have been more at home in the conservative party. Of course historically the last labour government fought, and won, more conflicts than the last three conservative governments, introduced new immigration policy and infrastructure (twice - albeit one failed) and did have the longest period of economic growth in my life time.... So maybe they're thinking the more absurd the leadership choice and selection, the better the outcome.

Labour introduced new immigration polciy - how can we tell? Or was the new policy just to let absolutely everyone in? Edited by leggedstruggle (18 Aug 2015 9.31am)

Edited by leggedstruggle (18 Aug 2015 9.31am) Labour introduced detention centers and modified many of the laws regarding deportation, as well as modifying the process to make deportation easier. The only real problem was the EU policy on the Right to Work within the EU, which in reality there wasn't really much choice, as it was part of the agreement the UK was signed up to (the conservatives would have accepted it as well as the Lib Dems, especially given at the time the UK was in a boom period, and under pressure from corporate entities to provide cheap labour). I don't hold with the policy, but I think in the UK, it was inevitable whoever was in charge.

Neil Kinnock warns Labour not to make itself unelectable. In other news, Ian Brady has warned against cruelty to children and Pol Pot has been telling the Cambodian government to be nicer to its people.

Their voting supporters seem to be laser guided to the most unelectable leader of any candidates available.

Corbyn unelectable? Well he is resonating with Londoners. A few have posted on here that Corbyn would be a very unpopular choice. I'll send them the recipe for humble pie in a few months when Corbynhas proved to be a more than able opposition leader. Resonating with 'Londoners', I wonder why.
Neither, and remember it's just your opinion, like what I wrote is mine.

Someone who follows the term 'multi-cultural' with the the term 'hell-hole' tends to sound a bit, y'know, racist.
