Not required to consume any because we can create our own glucose. Do you require the science details for this very easy to find glycogenolysis Randle Cycle is a good one for you to learn and others very important to know. Edited by grumpymort (11 Jan 2023 12.43pm)

Apparently, it is genuinely very good for you in terms of both improving physical aesthetic but overall health too. Whilst sceptical of just how much (a general rule of thumb for me nothing based in knowledge), a person of Jordan Peterson's scientific background endorsing and practicing it certainly is interesting. I think his daughter is also on board from the very little I've seen.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Our diet would have consisted of meat and fruit and widespread agriculture came quite late on in terms of our existence.

People are skeptical due to they have been lied to and eating like this is about health not $$$. If you are interested look it up modern day diet was created by the likes of food industry an easy example is do people remember food pyramid? The use of calories as well to claim this is how we function another one to look up how a calorie is worked out it has nothing to do with a human its nonsense. Not sure what you mean about nothing based on knowledge? His daughter has an autoimmune problem she has had to limit to almost beef and salt only this is what has put her back on track to a normal life.

Not much fruit about today it's big business a global scale. The other thing is the size of the fruit it used to be for all fruits small nothing like today which has been modified.

People who have the mickey mouse certs in the field do not know what they are talking about the difference is they claim they do arguing it with bogus science in which they can not even understand the material. Being this is about Diabetes take a look at all the bodies and people who are suppose to be fighting it all of them repeat misinformation which is the same mainstream BS. Common pattern is claims fruit/veg and wholegrains are healthy. example of what they claim is healthy this is from diabetes.org.uk Breakfast a bowl of wholegrain cereal such as porridge or bran flakes, with semi-skimmed or skimmed milk. If you prefer a dairy alternative like soya or almond milk, choose one that’s unsweetened and calcium-fortified. Madness isn't it they are telling people it's fine to eat all those carbs as if it's a good diet.

When I was first diagnosed my GP told me that I was on a diet but as this diet was for the rest of my life I had to be sensible about it. He gave me a wall chart with four columns on it - eat regularly, eat on occasions, don't eat too often and finally don't eat at all and that was the sort of advice that I have abided by in the last 15 years

GP has no business talking about diets they have 0 training in the subject. You do get some who are willing to listen or be a bit open minded but they still don't know so should not be advising anything and the other big issue is even if they agree they have to go with what for example the NHS guidelines say. The wall charts LOL health service loves them. Here is one again misleading people which is what they are designed to do present in an easy way what they want you to go with not the truth. Tbh literally never eating meat doesn't sound like the best approach and most would struggle with it. Atkins types diets certainly have their benefits though, one of them is that people tend to eat less anyway. Therefore a low carb diet and just generally eating less if you need to = job done.
