No, but since I was chatting all things Palace with another regular, he started reading up on Teletex so he could join in the conversation and get to know me...

By the time the relevant page came round, he could've done your week's washing and drying for you!

This is the launderette at the side of Morrisons. You can park up and watch your washing (or other people's washing).
Maybe pop in to the cafe for breakfast, or a few cans /bottle of something. Or perhaps walk the grocery aisles for supreme washing liquid tabs, or tumble-drier freshen-sheets.
Or alternatively cruise around the car park in your Golf GTi, looking for single ladies, hoping that in the meantime, some students or tramps haven't stolen your knock-off Tommy H gear/Levi's from the tumble-drier.

Also, yet another option would be to go next door to Curry's and buy yourself a washing machine so you don't have to air your dirty laundry in public

We have those at garages here. I think maybe 8 euro a load and the same for the dryer. So at 16 a pop, I think save and buy your own. Of course, there are many living in rooms/shared places that won't be able to. The place in the photo looks grim. Then again, Morrison's is grim really. They barely even try to be much different from poundland.
