right now…england without a shadow of a doubt. lets face it either palace or england winning something is a once in a lifetime opportunity. if you had asked me the day before the 1990 or 2006 fa cup final i would have said palace. however right now i would take england on sunday over another 10 years of palace not winning anything!

Good post. As a Palace fan I’ve always felt England was my only chance to actually have a bit of footballing success.

This lot don’t seem to take them selves too seriously, even the squad players seem happy.

I love the national solidarity that England's success brings, but it's always club over country. Every time.

Silly question really on a Palace fans website. Having been at all 3 of our FA Cup finals they really are special occasions, especially 1990 when it was still massive and not just a side show to the premier league.

Given the choice, I’d have an FA Cup for Palace. I’d go further. Purely hypothetical, I know, but intrigued by your response and value judgments. This is exactly the mindset (along with the majority on this thread) that has resulted in a barren 55 years at international level and exactly why Southgate deserves great credit for changing that within this group of players.

I'd definitely take Palace survival in the Prem over an England win!

I've wondered why for many, many years as an avid football fan, why it is I feel very little passion for my home national team. Sure it's great for the 'feel good factor' of our country but personally it really doesn't bother me in the slightest if we lose this evening. Compare that to watching Palace in an important game, the twitchy nerves, sweaty palms, willing us to score or defend a lead - well, there just is no comparison. However, reading posts on here today, seems I'm not alone.
