So some of you say he can't pass.

Who was it then who picked up the ball just yards from the halfway line and threaded the ball to Schlupp who laid it off to Batman and into the net. A good bit of football and had it been KdB to Mahrez to Stirling and then into the goal the pundits would have been drooling.

One swallow doesn't make a summer, as they say.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

The OP post you mean libel, slander is spoken.

Anyway Luka must accept criticism it goes with the territory.

He is a bit in and out but I wouldn't put it more than that.

Hoping for a dodgy VAR penalty award on Saturday that's one thing he does do 100%.

and if it is untrue . it cant be either if it is a criticism, otherwize we would all be in the deep dog stuff .

The reason is he is slated is that he is inconsistent in many ways. I know you can make this point about a lot of players, but in his position consistency is key and gets noticed a lot.

I flip flop on him. Sometimes I can see his good points, other times he just gives the ball away needlessly. The last Chelsea game a ball went up in the air and no one was around him in our half, what did he do? Just headed it straight to a Chelsea player and two passes later it was in the net. It's frustrating, much like PVA (last game we had some nice passing, it made it to him and he just hoofed it for no reason straight to an Everton player).

Personally I'd love to see an upgrade here.

BTW, Jedinek also won every header, Luka isn't known for this (unless no one is around him).

Luka is obviously aware of the risks of heading the ball.

As for PVA who was mentioned in the OP, he makes less mistakes than Luka, and at the risk of setting another hare running, I think that, as a rule, he adds value.

I suppose actually passing to a team mate was bound to happen eventually

If he is given time and space he is perfectly capable of playing a decent pass, unfortunately whether it is through injuries over the years he has lost any sort of pace and constantly gets either caught in possession or is rushed and makes a poor pass.

If you watch top players in that position they have the ability to find a yard or two of space so that they never appear rushed in what they do. I agree with what you say, he often looks rushed and gives the ball away far too easily. Between him and Sakho the team will probably give up three or four chances to the opposition every match and you will eventually get punished for this.
