Every lithium ion battery has cobalt as do almost all airplanes.

Presumably Midlands Eagle has no phone, laptop, and never flies.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

we will all appreciate just how fantastic Roy has been after he has gone.

Keeping our best players and supplementing them with some upgrades to the weaker players, we will be all surprised at our sudden 'run of bad luck'

I've said it before and I'll say it again, happy for Roy to leave if, and very much only if, we get a better manager in his place.

Better in this case meaning more watchable football with results that aren't significantly worse.

And for the love of God please don't tell me that 'anything/anyone is better than Roy'. That's just childish nonsense. Is supporting Sheffield United better? Or West Brom? Or Newcastle, Brighton, Burnley? Of course not. The football we've played this year and part of last has been dire, but the results have been good. There isn't much joy in watching us play, but there is even less in seeing your team play poor football and lose every week too. We only have one of those to worry about.

This whole ,”Roy Out ,” thing has fallen foul of the failure of some to recognise , the constraints , that only the club are responsible for, and will be whoever manages CP.
Hodgson, has done his job and kept us in the Premier league, that’s. a fact. It’s also a fact that Palace are a difficult watch.
Everything else is a mixture of guessing ,wishful thinking, and failure to give any attention to facts of life for a club of Palaces stature. And the facts of life for every club of similar stature, now occupying a position lower in the Premier, or for many in the Championship, struggling with the question of what is the best way to play this game If it’s a regular place in the big league you want.
Having said this, a change has to come. Hodgson can not go on much further . But change for change sake is probably not our best move right now, unless the club it’s self is the subject of substantial change in its financial status.

Roy inherited a unbalanced squad with no clear playing style/identity.

Benteke soon got injured so we had no striker. SP also bought Sakho on transfer deadline, days before Roy's appointment, so whilst Roy would no doubt have verbally approved it, he was probably unaware how hamstrung that would make future transfer windows.
Perhaps his best early decision was to replace Puncheon with Luka. At the time Puncheon's performances had declined alarmingly over the last 12 to 18 months yet Pardew, Sam and FDB all made him captain. Roy immediately saw that he was slowing play and he lacked creativity (clearly Punch wasn't happy, as per the current interviews, but definitely the right decision).

He has never complained and has never criticised either the players or the board. A perfect gentleman.

However, 4 years on the ageing playing squad has caught up with us and it is clear that Roy doesn't have a plan B.

Just as Coppell didn't adjust after Wright's departure and relegation was a when not an if question after that, i think Palace and Roy are at the same crossroads.

Roy may be offered another year, but i don't think he will accept it. I think he can see where this is going

He's done his bit for the club.

Now is the time to retire before his 'magic' wears off
and he gets the push in the middle of next season.

'Quit while you are ahead' is a sound maxim.

I think he should retire, he has done a great job with little support from Steve Parrish and the board. I still can’t believe we have spent hardly anything on players over the last 3 years and sold one of the best emerging right backs the Premiership has ever seen.

Stand aside Roy your job is done you have nothing more to prove.

You think he should retire for his sake or for Palace?

If for Roy's sake then fair enough, but that should be his decision if he is up for another season or not!!

For Palace's sake, again who do you have in mind who can do a better job?

I am Roy IN for another season to rebuild the team in a solid way. Not someone inexperienced or a chancer who will send us straight down.

How about his sake and ours? He's not exactly a spring chicken and we have gone stale. The run in will put paid to the sudden Roy love in. Lucky results are papering over cracks the size of Vesuvius. I haven't forgotten last season personally. But, I do accept Roy has done his job as needed. And good luck to him when he does leave.

I have said before, if Roy is going to stay, i am personally fine with that, but it must be sorted out very soon, if he is going, then we must appoint a new manager now, or by the end of the month, if we wait till the end of the season, 23rd May, the players will be off for a rest, back about the 1st July, which will give a new manager no time to assess what he has, who to keep who to buy, nightmare scenario, we must give a new guy time to look at his players inc academy
Roy must sign now, or appoint a new guy now, we cannot be sentimental

People have such short memories just how much of a yoyo club we used to be. Things were going fantastically before Roy came in with Warnock, Pardew, FDB et al.

Let's just get rid because he is getting on and give Cabaye the job just because he is young and a former player. Bound to work.

Good point made Potterball is very good till they get in the penalty area then the forwards panic with the amount of chances made even Benteke would get 10 a season.
