I'm sure the board have thought long and hard about it, but we've never had a decent offer.

Have we actually had ANY offer?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

This is a nonsense story.

AC Milan are not rich at all. By the time Silvio Berlusconi sold them they were struggling to compete with any of the European big clubs, and since then they've had the kind of truly bizarre boardroom episode I thought was reserved for turn of the century cpfc.

From what I can gather...

1. Rich Chinese businessman agrees to buy club.
2. Chinese government decides Chinese money can no longer leave China.
3. Rich businessman decides to proceed with purchase anyway, borrowing money from American vulture capitalist group on terms that make Goldbergs purchase from Noades look shrewd.
4. If Milan make the latter stages of the champions league every year for a decade then Chinese businessman might just be able to repay the loan.
5. Rich businessman gambles relatively big money on average players. Milan don't make the champions league. Owner forfeits repayments.
6. American vultures seize club.
7. Current coach exceeds all expectations by producing a good side. Club still very much skint, with owners who are professional asset strippers. Transfer business limited to free transfers, loans and young prospects.

I really can't see that buying Zaha for £50m - £70m fits in with this.

I didn't know any of this, many thanks, very informative xx

I actually think Wilf may end up like Tissier and stay at the club. On the subject of le Tis however there was that wonderful story of him agreeing a move to the Spuds until his wife said "I am not moving to xxxxx London!!"
So what does Wilf's lady say about Milan .......... or indeed Arsenal!!! :-)

Always remembering walking from the Holmesdale to the Whitehorse end at half time!

Is this because he's played every minute of every game (missed 1 through covd?)?
Maybe if someone else was in his position they would be contributing as much?

He missed 2, both winnable games Burnley and Newcastle

They would both have said the same about us.

He started shagging her when she was supposed to be Kortney Hause's girlfriend so if she was happy living in Birmingham I'm sure she won't mind living in the fashion capital of the world

Wilf's going nowhere in January. He's worth £150m to us at present as we don't have anyone else to create or score goals!
How could we possibly replace him without spunking all the money in such an overpriced window?
Or if we didn't spend the money gained on a marquee replacement we would surely be relegated as the strike force we have are not up to the task!
That would surely hamper our plans for ground expansion, make recruiting top-class academy prospects more difficult and set us back years!

Reports this morning that with Potch coming in PSG may well make a move for Wilf. This makes more sense to me.

£50m but realistically only £40m once moanu take their "share". Will we get the extra 20 points or less out of the remaining 22 games and if not the £40m becomes a poisoned chalice. Parish will have the purse strings tugged by the septics who will want their lump. It worries me but will Eze and maybe Banks pull through for us? Maybe

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).
