Whenever you lose 7-0 there is something wrong, why when 4-0 down bring on various players who for whatever reason haven't been playing regularly Sorry Roy but smiling when you've lost 7-0 isn't acceptable

Wasteful in front of goal in the first half and the players heads dropped after the third goal. Ohhh and Ayew needs to start on the bench...

1) One of the top 2 club teams in the world has many players who can finish clinically. They shot 7 William-Tell bullseyes in a row. 2) We showed impressive resilience after both of Liverpool's first two goals. We passed crisply, remained calm in the face of their press, and overall played them even – or better. For more than 30 minutes. 3) We're human. As Liverpool continued to finish EVERY slim chance, we lost hope. We didn't, however, resort to cheap fouls. 4) We were reminded that Koyate and VanAanholt are below average defenders, that Luka plays old, and that McArthur's high-effort play is offset by his technical limitations. (Poor passing, limited vision, slow reactions.) 5) What would happen if Jordan Ayew LOOKED as if he played the game with joy rather than as a job? Perhaps he loves it, but surely his demeanor dampens the enthusiasm of his teammates. 6) Bats is a world-beater at being offsides.

We should never have got rid of Murray. Or Gayle for that matter.

If it is any comfort this is not the worst ever home defeat as we lost 2-9 to Liverpool back in Steve Coppell's time. It was a blessing in disguise as it was the first game of the season and prompted the board to spend some money to fix problem positions. Best was a million for Nigel Martyn. Sorry to correct you, but believe the score was a 1-6 home defeat against Liverpool and the BBC claim today's defeat was indeed the worst home defeat in our Club's history.

It was one of those days, 7 shots on target for 7 goals, but it did expose our limitations. Kouyate had bad day, Cahill looked very much 35, PVA went missing often. JimmyMac and Luka get a lot of interceptions but give the ball away far too much in dangerous areas. The forwards are obsessed with too many touches and got offside incredibly often in a 7:0 defeat. Schlupp showed the way, run at space at pace, it ain’t that hard.
