I'm clueless at prediction, especially where Palace are concerned. I hope Wilf's return will charge the team, pull out a good performance and win. If not, we're going into freefall because it's a really tough run coming up.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

It's a bit like the Burnley game in that after us WBA have Newcastle but then they face a really tough run of fixtures right up until the end of January. They will be looking at us knowing three points is vital. How that will impact the game who knows. If we have Zaha back I think we'll win, and I'm going to say 2-1. His presence gives the team a focus and he was starting to link up well with Eze. I also wonder if its a coincidence that Andros has turned absolute w@nk with Wilf missing, whereas before that he was starting to look back to his best; maybe he is struggling to carry the weight of responsibility? And drop Dann. For the love of god, please drop Dann.

After the Leeds result I would have had this down as a banker, but now I question my sanity for suggesting a win! Roy needs to get the knuckledusters out.

If we lose against WBA they will be just 4 pts behind us in the table, and with the tough run of fixtures to follow, I suspect pundits, and many others, will deem us relegation candidates.

The mood of optimism early in the season when we reached the heady heights of 5th has been replaced with one of pessimism.

A game need to win and i think with Zaha back 2-1 win.
Really needed points out of the last 2 matches as the fixture list in December is heavy and better opposition.

Dont want to get dragged into yet another relegation dogfight this season, the quality is there to avoid that just need to start showing it.

One has to be realistic and conclude that with our ageing squad this unusual season will prove very testing.

One just needs to think back to 'Project Restart' last season when we only won 1 of the 9 games in Lockdown, and that being the first, with us having to play 9 games in about 5 weeks.

We have an old squad, I believe 15 outfield players are either 29 or in their 30s with some at or nearing mid-30s and many of the players are no longer the players who once graced the PL.

I really am beginning to believe your vision expressed some weeks ago ,well before the farcical last two games, that we could well be dragged into yet another fight against relegation,is becoming the reality under Mr Hodgson

I am not optimistic.
I have no "Vision" - I have misty optics!

A lot of pressure on this game especially for Roy. He has some tough decisions to make with team selection.

After the last 2 games I’d like to see Dann, Ayew and Townsend on the bench but it will be interesting to see what he does.

Should we lose against WBA,there will be immense pressure on Roy,this being a third defeat in a row just as other poor sides start gaining some form of momentum,Fulham,WBA and even Brighton beginning to breathe down our necks.Unthinkable!!

By the end of December there is the all too real possibility of Palace being in 17th place and Brighton above us. I'm sure RH must have targeted at least a couple of points from the Burnley and Newcastle games, but as pointed out elsewhere, our stats for 2020 are poor indeed. Should things carry on like this Parish will have to make a stick or twist decision regarding the future of Hodgson.

Who on earth would be interested in such circumstances ?
Relegation battle, an old squad with hardly any resale value and a modest amount to spend in the transfer market.
Hardly appealing!
