No I won't.

But its kind of you to stick up for the national embarrassment we have running the club.

Now trying to clame Woy shouldnt take the blame for Englands worst ever performance. Staggering.

I have stayed from the post-match threads as I felt sure they would be full of the type of negativity that usually follows two poor results. Having just read a few I can see I was right.

Get real people! We have now spent a long time in the biggest league in the world and will likely stay there this year. From when I started supporting Palace, in the 3rd Division South, that's a big success.

We are in transition. We are building the academy as our future and 10 years from now things should look very different. We just need to get there. The post-Zaha era will be on us soon enough, and the post-Hodgson one sooner. Until then we have a wise head guiding us. The time will come for other styles but not yet. We may well have to spend a year or two back in the Championship at some point to allow a new, younger, team to gel but Roy is holding things together pretty well at the moment.

We didn't get outplayed either yesterday or at Burnley. We could have won either game, and probably deserved a draw in both. That's football. We missed Wilf, some of the players looked jaded, we were outpressed by teams who saw the opportunity to do so. It happens.

On to next week. And Eze looks great.

As Simon Jordan said, be carefull what you wish for!

IMO Roy’s race is run and goose cooked..!!

Look we’ve just lost 2 games against teams we should be beating comfortably - with the squad/players at Roy’s disposal.

Roy looks tired, his tactics are tired and IMO the players ain’t playing for him - they seem tired of his tactics too as a lot of us...!!

Playing Schlupp up front with Bats and Benteke on the bench, dropping Jario, playing Dann who had a stinker against Burnley and at fault for both goals last night - whats all that about - it’s a nonsense..!!

All good things come to an end it’s time to part company - say thanks for all you’ve done and thanks for the memories.

Bring in someone with new ideas who will shake and freshen up a little, there are the current runners and riders in the fray;

Of those on the list of possible replacements I think I'd prefer to stick with Roy if the alternative was Phil Neville!

Show me how we should be beating these two teams comfortably with the squad Mr Hodgson has to work with, player by player ..go on.

On that list of 20 there are maybe 6 or 7 who might be beneficial.
Most the others are ‘has beens’ or ‘chancers’ that make Roy look positively preferable !

I agree with most of this.

To those who say we have our strongest squad ever, I would probably agree, but it is our squad relative to others teams that is relevant, not whether it is the best ever. And sadly with an ageing squad, and with a lack of significant investment in new players, our position relative to others is slowly deteriorating.

To those who say we should be a top ten team, I would argue this is completely unrealistic at the moment. Leave aside the big six, there is then Everton, Wolves, Leicester & Southampton. The first three have invested heavily in the transfer market over several years and the latter have also invested plus have a very good academy. Anywhere between 11th and 13th would be brilliant result for us at the moment and even 14th/15th would still be a good season.

The key issue is that until the Academy starts producing first team players we are going to struggle, whoever is in charge. We all want better for our club, but at the moment with our ageing squad and limited funds I believe we have to accept our ambition is going to be limited to staying in the premiership. If we went down I do not believe we would bounce back quickly.

And Zaha is key to this. We all know he has ambitions to play elsewhere, but he will have left an invaluable legacy for the club if when he retires, (I think it less and less likely he will be transferred) we are still a premiership team.

We had very good opportunities to score and we didn't take them, Newcastle had very good opportunities to score and they didn't take them either ..so they just waited until the 88th min for us to make yet another mistake and they won the game, nothing at all to do with our manager, the players concentration on the pitch lost it.

There is only one isn't there who fits the bill and everyone knows it's Eddie Howe.

Eze looked and sounded really down after the match. I’ve seen players interviewed before like that when things aren’t right.
