WE got to 40 pts last season through having one of the best defences in the league (before melt-down). Having strengthened our attacking options with the addition of Eze and Batshuayi, we should score more goals, hopefully at least on a par with 2018/19. Our problem, though, is the defensive injuries and their seriousness. PvA is (I understand) back in training which is good but no sign of Cahill or Tomkins, which is a worry. I'm going for us surviving comfortably again (10th to 13th) provided we don't get a horrendous spate of new injuries like we got in the middle of last year. If we lose key players to long term injuries (and we are, after all, Palace) then I fear a real relegation scrap.

I suspect our dire finish to last season may have informed that view, together with the possible departure of Wilf. However, while we are over reliant on Zaha, they are focussing on the wrong end. Bbc sport have us going down ( the fella with the rash) anywhere between 17th and 10th for me. I am quite surprised at how many people have us going down but then we were tipped to the year we were promoted.

We have a better team than last season especially with the players we have bought in with a fit squad I don't expect nothing less than 10th or higher it's that kind of expectation. im expecting this season we should definitely have more goals in us this season

I think we will finish 16th - 18th. Can see it going to the last game or two to decide our fate. That run of losses last season has really made me unconfident and fearing the worst.. Simply because Roy made no changes to tactics throughout that period to address the constant defeats.. We have no plan b and that scares me. Can see us having injuries hindering us again.. If Bats gets injured (touching wood) then we are back to the striking options of last season again. I pray that I'm well off and we have a corker.

If we have a reasonable season injurywise, we should be fine.

However if we add a few more players whilst getting rid of a couple which don’t fit into the new era at Palace, I can see a 8th-11th finish.
