Rudi, I agree with you that CPFC’s approach is expensive. My partner is a Leicester season ticket holder and their process is much better. They credit their account and for every game, money is deducted. If there is no credit, they can’t enter a ballot. She has credited her account with £70.00. Well below the figures we have to pay.

However, there is ‘Freedom’ and in your opinion ‘unreasonable’. Your not contractually obliged to pay the £500-£800 or the holding fee of £200. The price has been set by the club and that’s it. They are not making any of us pay these sums. They done make us buy any shirts, hats....ANYTHING. You have the freedom to walk away and spend your hard earned money on things more reasonable.

5000 fans back then wasn't the norm and there were away fans too and you could be with your mates and jump, sing, hug and kiss if you wanted but it'll be a sterile atmosphere now.

That's not the usual Selhurst experience like it has been since I started going in '72 and was long before that so your quote is not correct.

Check the crowd stats for '79 to '90 I've attached, don't forget there are away fans in those figures so even less than 5k Palace at 1 or 2 fixtures.

I've attended a league match at the Palace when attendance was less than 4,000.

Not in the 80's though, and the lowest average attendance was 6,400+ in the 84/5 season.

The issue is Ali , football is emotive if you don’t want to pay yes of course you can walk away, but where are the alternatives? .

Why simply can’t the club offer to put St on hold at no cost ? I’m sure plenty will renew to fill the available seats .. if by then which looks more doubtful by the day fans are let in.

After several months of fans loosing jobs, income, being furloughed etc etc the club they support deal another kick in teeth by telling us to pay up or lose your seat. Outstanding from a business that once the PL gravey train ends will actually need fan loyalty to provide needed income.

They whole issue has been handled with the foresight of a fool that clearly has no empathy for fans that have suffered and are suffering financially still. Unfortunately we’re all not ££ rich with Surrey mansions.

It’s not me asking for money from CPFC charity it’s the other way round asking for my money for zero in return.. and

if they can’t run a club profitably with 160 mill income, then they need to sort their s*** out and stop extending contacts for players like CW n CB who’s contributed practically nothing for 3 years.
