Wilf looked good as did Ayew. Meyer was a mixed bag of good interplay and took the goal well, but then did some careless passes around our own box. I think Riedewald is looking really classy playing the Luka role of picking the ball up off the defence and moving it forward. Defence wasn't really tested until the changes were made, but Ward looked solid.

Overall we were the dominant team until 70 minutes when the youngsters came on, but once again we looked short of a striker. Schlupp should have scored a sitter but fired straight at the keeper.

Tougher than Charlton, but still pretty comfortable.

Good summary. Mitchell didn't have a good one and looked out of his depth? Mark Bright mentioned we are 9 players down with injury. Given that, the squad is doing very well, but still need

Cash flow, to cover basic cost
£5 is small fry, its your team
or wait for the highlights...

Right no season tickets sales or season tickets being sold or no onsite catering sales ... so only TV money,... so a minimal £5 at this stage, is fully acceptable..

By the way "WAKE UP PALACE"
3rd match in, watched all three and ???? what have I learnt different. some players in wrong positions in a match to see how it works????

Stream the match for free it said. Watch the match here if you are a member and then it asks for £5. Must be desperate for cash!

I think I’ll wait for the season to start and watch it for free on tv.

I think we've largely played some attacking and attractive football. Obviously there have been spells not so, especially when the academy players are in. It's a slightly new system for them, so the games are about learning that.

I just hope we don't revert right back to the old system when the season starts.

Also no known injuries so far in three, except for McCarthy and I'm not sure that's serious enough to keep him out long-term.

This season the games will come fast and furious, I think we'll need 2 players for every position, so I applaud Roy for mixing it up a bit.

That was really encouraging

The big takeaway for me was Jairo. He now looks a PL player and if he can match that in a high intensity game the FdB months will have been for something after all. Nice to see a Palace mid who can find his man.

Obvs a step down but our ability to pass our way out of a press is a step forward.

The other one I’m watching and being really happy about is Wilf being further upfield than last time out. He’s a decent finisher but also just much more dangerous there. He might also be a bit happier at life if he is receiving the ball where he can do something with it as opposed to being the only out from defence and having nowhere to go when he gets it wide on the halfway line or back.

Just not sure whether this new look is simply down to the numbers of bodies we have available or Roy rethinking the approach. It’s going to be less “solid” than the very flat midfield we had last time.

I’d see Eze and Meyer fighting over the one position and Gallagher perhaps being Mac after 70 mins or so. Until we get a forward Ayew shifts back up top and Townsend back out wider.

Big plus is Wilf. I hope he gets his head down and does his thing this season. Would love him to turn Ward Prowse inside out opening day without getting bent out of shape with the rotational fouling.

Id like Roy to start Max and give him free roaming.
Too many times he's been a sub with no real motivation
to shine Give him a real break please

With eze and the Chelsea lad maybe the system will suit max now. I believe eze has permission from roy to roam somewhat between the mids and attackers. This could provide a player to pass to so max could show his skills more as the opponent wont be on him so quickly. I'm not a footy guru so just a basic thought.
