I like Schluppy - he works hard and knocks in a few goals. We have had way worse!!

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

He's no Gareth Taylor but we love him.

A player we need on the pitch desperately, runs forward like no other and causes huge problems for defences, sloppy passing can create problems at times but he makes up for it with his directness and goals, how can anybody not like him.

Do people think that JS could play as a converted CF?

He started his career as a CF from memory at Leicester and has good shot technique and pace...

If we don't pick up a CF in this window then I suspect this will be tried, especially after the way he has been used in the pre-season fixtures.

The telly gave MOM to Zaha today, who was good, but for me Schlupp was MOM. And just as I was thinking this a somewhat dispondant mate of mine who is a Man Utd fan texted me and was saying how good he though Schlupp was.

Again he seems to be a very good all round player. Athletic, can tackle, strong and drives forwards with good technical ability. Wearing the same coloured boots as Wilf at times I easily mistook them!

Importantly its noticeable that the others around him seem to play better when he plays.

He was mom by a mile for me today. Hes ridiculously powerful, has a bullet shot on him and is a great dribbler on his day. When he does all those three things in one match he looks excellent.I was foaming at the mouth when he was taken off today.

He was very very good for us today, indeed.

A real threat going forward and worked hard defensively and in following Roy’s tactics and instructions re keeping the shape and game-plan.

He went on trial to Man Utd when at Leicester, as a striker.
