Watched Man U v Saints last night. Saints, with nothing to play for, just chased and harried Man I for 96 minutes and got a point. It will be interesting to see us in action (for want of a better word) against Man U. Will we chase and press them all over the pitch and worry them out of winning?

Man Utd will be playing us, just 3 days after their game last night. They also have an FA Cup Semi-Final against Chelsea a few days after our game.
Our team could surprise us all by getting something from the game!

The double over ManU would be tasty, but can't see it somehow - On the other hand this is Palace & you never know what you're gonna get.

Wishful thinking as my perception is that Man U will come at us with all guns blazing in an attempt to put the game out of our reach earlier on.

Of course we won't. As Willo said. Soton' team's average age was 23 (ours is over 30).

Even then Soton went through a phase when they needed to get their breath back during which time they conceded two goals and could have conceded more. They got a second wind and came back strongly. Our old men can't be expected to press for more than a few minutes, otherwise it would give Roy a coronary.

The one thing I thought last night was Rashford v Ward Greenwood v PvA and Martial v Sakho/Dann . I actually think we're capable of snuffing out their midfield through pure doggedness, but our defence looks so vulnerable and slow right now.

The only chance we have is if our front three play the game of their lives and we somehow outscore United.

I wouldn’t hold your breath. Villa had 2 days less rest than us and are also a shocking football team. I really fear united will destroy us.

I’m thinking the same. Martial, Rashford and Greenwood against our snails and turtles doesn’t bare thinking about.
