Interviewer: Well Roy, your boys took one hell of a beating. Do you think the 0-5 scoreline reflects the actual game?
Roy: Well no, not really. We'd set out our stall to go in 0-0 at half time but when they scored first after 90 seconds that was plan A out of the window. Not having a plan B, I think our overall possession stats of 17% means we did well given the circumstances.

Palace 0 - Chelsea (rolls dice) 2, not too bad I'll take that.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I’d be happy with two meaningful efforts on goal in a game which would be a 100% improvement.
To stretch the ambition further would a second goal by us from more than 150 corners this season be too much of an ask?
That’s assuming we get enough players forward to win a corner.
Remember the anguished debate as to whether we actually managed a single touch in the Liverpool penalty area in the recent game?
The Hodgson fans insisted we did get a touch as a vindication of his tactics and to prove his attacking tactical prowess.

After watching utter dross in the last two games I cannot find any reason to suspect that we will perform any better on Tuesday and to my mind a defeat is a nigh on certainty.

I certainly don't intend to put myself through watching yet more excreta from our team and my time will be spent far better in a local establishment which serves intoxicating liquids.

Well spoken Mr Logic!

I too will be avoiding more torture of a team marking out time to their holidays.

Not sure I am going to watch it. Unfortunately Roy has made me hate watching the team love. Sitting back, parking the bus for the first half and hope to nick a goal in the second. If they score first, which they will, game over.

No midfield, no creativity, no youth, no subs.

Would rather watch Pierrick, Mitchell and Scott Banks and get drubbed 6-0, then the total rubbish served up since the restart.

Tactical nous of Harry Kane taking corners and no Plan B. It’s like watching England v Iceland on a continuous loop.

I think we can say THREE games because I don't recall us getting out of our own half against Liverpool? If we did, it certainly wasn't memorable!
The team tactics and overall effort is abject and they are downright embarrassing to watch. I can't see anything but five straight defeats coming up and I won't be watching any of those one sided fixtures. I really wish I'd asked for a refund and not a credit on next year's ST!

"We missed the crowd"

Roy, your team is still $hit when you do play in front of a packed Selhurst.

I know someone who spoke to Ray Lewington about this game.He confirmed that the preparation for the game was as meticulous as ever but the players simply 'Froze' on the day.

Love to turn these west London nancy boys over, might have a small bet if the odds are favourable, it could be this seasons unexpected result, like liverpool and city away, and nancy boys at da bridge few years ago when the hf bought the fireworks!

Can we bet on the odds being favourable ? My half prediction will be Palace won't score. Full prediction 0-1.

Ready to be shot down but I think a 2-1 win for Palace. Roy is kidnapped before the game and stand in Manager "I can do no wrong" Zaha shocks everyone by playing a bunch of kids desperate to put themselves in the shop window for the watching Chelsea scouts.

I am enjoying being back at Selhurst and having a beer with my mates just like we have done for the past 40 years. Through Thick and thin we stick with our club. Not chairman, players or managers, OUR CLUB!
