If the board have a genuine interest in Dyche I doubt Roy's contract will get in the way, he'll be paid off if there's a chance we could otherwise miss out.

I would be shocked and disappointed if the 'Board' reach this decision.

At the end of the season the experienced Hodgson will have kept us in the hallowed land of the PL on a shoestring for three seasons.
Survival in successive seasons in the PL without spending much in the transfer market - a Board's dream.

We have offered a Hodgson a one year contract which he has signed. He has met his objectives on a very limited spend. He won't suddenly be jettisoned because a manager has become available.

Fair and sensible comment and, one hopes, a correct conclusion. Why chuck away Roy's success (despite the awful gutless showing against the Scousers) for an unknown future manager.

Agree save judge Roy on Bournemouth and Burnley and 6+ hours without conceding a goal than that one off where the real target was damage limitation and preserving energy and fitness.

We've beat them before we'll beat them again.

I don’t see much difference in our squad or Burnley‘s in the way either manager uses the players at there disposal in keeping their respective clubs in the Prem. if he becomes available we should try and get him as he is a younger version of Roy H? There’s no guarantee either of them will keep us in the prem but if we are going to replace Roy H which we need to do sooner than later he would be a good choice. Difference in the teams being our payroll and replacing the likes of Sakho, Benteke and Zaha with lesser paid versions is something I feel Dyche can do?

Would be excellent forward planning to get Dyche. Historically 2010 don't do any forward planning so very unlikely to happen. Must give our management credit though, they are very good at crisis management (well, they have had plenty of practice).

Dyche does have the experience of twice bringing Burnley up from the Championship. Although i don't see a reason to get rid of Roy, time is not on his side. Would prefer to see him in A Director of football role and have a competent, experienced manager take over.
