Yeah I was there, 14 years old, but no boots for me, probably my favourite Adidas kick trainers!! :-)

You’re right, so much choice!!

I know we lost, but still love the memories of the atmosphere and how we packed so many fans into their shoe box of a ground

Here was a player who was no stranger to a red card!
He is currently first team coach at Fleetwood under Joey Barton.

Enjoyed watching the play off final against Watford in its entirety. Here are some thoughts. Forgot Yannik didn't appear at all, KG not lasting 15 mins, O'Keefe good replacement, Jedi played in Turkey before joining us and may of gone in 30 mins with VAR, Watford player would certainly of gone in extra time, no chance of Watford fielding 10 plus loanees now, Delaney was awesome at the back, Garvan's distribution was dreadful but he was still here longer than Ollie, Ollie popped his shoulder after the goal, Wilbraham gave his best but was no Muzza. Overall a brilliant day in the sunshine. COYP !!

Hill was a real leader who played with desire and drive.
He was a physical player but techically adept with the ability to pass the ball out of defence.
He played for 8 clubs and made nearly 600 appearances.

We've had some right nerve janglers in the past but the semi play offs against Sunderland in 2003-2004 must be up there :

That whole season seems surreal. Dowie dragging us up from nowhere, Spammers getting us into the play offs, the above and then the finale of beating the Spammers.

When he took over we were 19th after 24 games.
He of course got us promoted via the play-offs that season.
A remarkable job.

Norman Hunter kicked him off the pitch after John had scored twice if I remember.

Yes, I was there that day and close to the disgusting, premeditated assault on Craven: a rake down the shins that I could almost feel as well - horrendous- and all he got was a booking. Craven nobbled, from 0-2 down (Craven scored both) to 2-2.

That's why Leeds were so universally hated and Revie along with them as the man giving the orders. Really satisfying to see Chelsea take them on at their own game in the FA Cup replay in 1970 and win.

saw Bob Stokoe say as manager of Carlisle in the early sixties Revie offered him £500 b4 a cup game v Leeds and how disgusted he was he could jeopardise a young manager's career, when Cloughie referred to their cheating it wasn't just the kicking, still a great side though Bremner, Lorimer' Giles and Gray is one of the all time great midfields
