Social distancing would also be quite difficult at half time.

THis must be the greatest truism of the year. I hope Parish and the Environmental Agency are reading this thread . If they are then don’t be surprised if our ground is closed with or without Coronavirus!

The silver lining is that if the league gets cancelled they should avoid having a winner this year.

The dream would be for the league to end after next round with us in 8th, the FA decide to squeeze in the FA cup last couple of rounds over the next couple of weeks and City or Chelsea win.

2 teams get promoted and no one gets relegated from the PL and we finish 8th and get a Europa league spot by default.

It'll be wiped out, as if nothing has happened, things are going to happen fast ..so far we are going down the same road as Italy and I think today it showed on Boris's face that he has finally woken up to what's happening, we need to all basically stay at home and do nothing as best as we can and await orders, we do not have anywhere near enough intensive beds for what's about to hit and we need to slow the infections down to be able to cope.

With Arteta and Hudson-Odoi having the virus, along with 3 Leicester players and the Premier League holding an emergency meeting today only hours after saying business as usual, I think we can expect a suspension of fixtures for a period.
I will surprised if Uefa don't postpone the Euros at their meeting on Tuesday next.

Villa away tickets just gone on sale, would have got one but I don't think it'll go ahead, Don't think some premier League clubs will be able to field a side, regardless of being behind closed doors

“2 teams get promoted and no one gets relegated from the PL ...”

Is this really a good outcome for us? The corollary is that 5 teams will be relegated next season. Fancy your chances?

If they are unable to complete the fixtures I think there are only 2 reasonable outcomes:

1. Promotion and relegation is based on current standings. This will upset the clubs in the bottom 3 who will claim that they are just hitting form and another couple of games and they would be safe.

2. Scrap the season no promotion or relegation for anyone except Liverpool to win the title because well we mustn't upset the Scousers. I would be fine with this but to be fair that really does mean that Liverpool cannot claim the title.

One more point

Or they relegate 4 and promote 2 the following year. Or relegate 3 and promote 2 the next 2 seasons. Plenty of ways to do it that done involve relegating 5 teams at once.
