Meh about sums it up for me. Whilst its great to have a steadying influence who will continue to supply results, those who go week in and week out I genuinely feel for.

oh well another year of anti-football.
how some fans can be happy with this is beyond me.

You sound like a Brighton fan, who wanted Hughton out, now their playing lovely football and are going to get relegated. Still not won in 2020.

Those talking about 'progress'; the stability Roy brings is our best chance of coming through the off the field issues with Premier League status intact. That’s our only realistic chance to progress.

If I heard correctly its a year extension, if so an assistant would be a good idea so that if he retires after that we can have a seamless transition. How about Gerrard.

I am wondering whether Roy delayed signing the contract until he was pretty sure that we would be a premier league team next season?
Perhaps he wanted to do that, not because he didn't want to manage in the Championship, but because he felt that if we did go down the club would need a different type of manager. After all , he is a Palace fan as well as our manager, and I believe he genuinely has the club's best interests at heart.
Someone referred in an earlier post to Parish wanting to keep Roy because a higher profile manager would insist on there being more money spent. How many higher profile managers are there with Roy's experience and CV?
I, for one then, am happy that he is staying.

Well done Roy.

Despite the injuries and the lack of investment in the squad, we look as though we will retain our place in the Premier League.

Fully deserves another year.

Agreed, this is excellent news.

Right now with the uncertainty of our American owners and the stadium we need stability and Roy brings us this in buckets. He has done an excellent job considering we are lacking in certain areas of the team.

As and when we have new owners it maybe time to look for another manager but right now with the owners unwilling to spend money I don't see an obvious replacement.

Well done Roy you earned it.

There is no uncertainty over the stadium. Nothing is happening.

This is for all you people who are dead against Roy staying on.

Name me a manager who would definitely improve us and also one who it is actually possible for us to hire.

It is all well and good saying get rid of Roy as you think he is useless but I can guarantee not one of you can come up with a better option at this present moment.

Oh look at that tumble weed followed by the lovely sound of crickets.

Is this really progress ???

Didn’t we achieve our highest ever points total in the premier league recently? Also, is this not the highest points total we have achieved since being in the premier league after this amount of games.
