Add Perth's own Anthony Danze and loanees Steve Mautone and Shaun Murphy and we've had a whole team of Aussies play for us, surely more than any other English club?

Shaun Murphy not Jon. Did he hang up his boots and pick up a queue. I can honestly say I don't remember the other guys.

I recall Shaun Murphy, a centre-half whom we signed from Sheff Utd.I believe he was into his 30s when he came to us.
I do recall the name Anthony Danze and I have a feeling Dowie signed him but this might be hogwash.
I recall goalkeeper Steve Mautone, I don't think he played that many games for us.

That site belongs to a local supporters club, not Crystal Palace FC.

I have discussed with my dear wife the prospect of us visiting Australia to see the pre-season friendlies. She is not averse to the idea stating that this could be the opportunity to meet up with our respective brothers and their families but alas they don't live anywhere near Brisbane!

My dear wife also pointed out that it will be winter in Australia so the weather might be somewhat inclement, however it might be somewhat better in Brisbane!

Willo, you would be very welcome to Australia and I can assure you that the weather in the sub tropics of Brisbane is as good as it gets in July with temperatures usually in the high 20's.
The worst time is between November and March when the humidity is often 100%.
Dependent on your tastes there are ample points of interest within easy reach of Brisbane and should your good lady not be interested in attending the match art, theatre, shopping.
If you venture to the game at Townsville, a delightful town, but do not paddle in the creeks or rivers unless you wish to have pedicure starting at your knees.

F.....g Brighton. They didn't wanted to let us on the stadium. My son has wearing Crystal Palace top under his coat. Unfortunately we didn't had tickets with palace suporters. My son didn't wanted to take his top out he said that he's not a Brighton looser. Good one. A 11 years old child.

I believe it was back in 1997 that my dear wife and I visited Queensland in June, traversing to Brisbane, The Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.

Sad to report that the weather was far from ideal, with several days when rain and winds dominated much to our chagrin.A number of times locals commented to us that the weather was "Unseasonal".Very disappointing indeed - we expected much better that far up north.

On CPFC official site, it states a 'link' would be emailed to members & ST holders as from 12.00am Friday 6th Mar till 12.00am Monday 9th Mar. Guess what, yup, no link sent, has anyone else got/not got link? I have emailed club to find out, so far, no reply.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.
