Newcastle have not been too dissimilar to us this season and I think we deserve some luck against them so I think win. Brighton looked really nervous at the weekend and under pressure they repeatedly gave the ball away in dangerous positions. If we do beat Newcastle and they fail to pick up points in their next game I can see the pressure getting to them and us winning. Watford have a really steely edge under Pearson and I think they'll bully us again and I think as a result we'll lose. Bournemouth are looking very average and like Brighton the pressure seems to be impacting their usual style of football. Nevertheless, I can see a draw.

So I'm going for 7 points.

I know everyone is doom and gloom but in the last two games we have held our own against teams competing at the top end of the table which gives me hope, especially if we can get Andros back in the starting line-up.

The problem is we only scored a single goal in those 2 games and that was a weak effort which the goalkeeper should have saved with some ease. The sheer dearth of goals could probably be our downfall in the battle to beat the dreaded drop.

Aporopos Newcastle, in their last 2 away games they have drawn at Everton and Wolves, both creditable results.
Brighton have only lost 1 of their last 6 home games and that was against Sheff Utd.They have drawn 4 of those 6 games and a draw there wouldn't be a bad result.

It looks like Tomkins could be out for a few weeks.
He’s arguably our most reliable defender and I could see us being even more defensive if he’s out as we’ll worry about being countered at speed.
Cahill and Dann are both good experienced players but lack pace and you wouldn’t want them one on one against the likes of Saint Maximin, Almeiron or Delofeu.
There may even be a case for using Kouyate as a replacement for Tomkins. He’s an experienced centre half as well and has more pace than Dann or Cahill.
In the light of recent results I’d settle for 5 points from the four games.

Newcastle 0-0 D
BHA 2-0 L
Watford 1-1 D
Bournemouth ?-0 L

2 points for me but you never know!

They are certainly all 'winable' but our opponents will probably think the same about us.

If we can get at least 4 points my worry will subside slightly.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I would play Kouyate alongside Cahill and not Dann.

Realistically, given current form :

Newcastle H - D 0-0
Brighton A - L 2-0
Watford H - D 0-0
Bournemouth A - L 1-0

I know that doesn't show us scoring, but we've been pretty awful.

I'd like top imagine we'd score a goal or two, but I don't think many of us are feeling positive.

Us and Newcastle doesn't promise to be a thriller.

Brighton played us off the park at Selhurst and I have no idea how we got a point in the end.

Watford at home will be tricky but I'd expect at least a draw.

Bournemouth is anyone's guess, but I can't say I'm confident.

I'm not trying to be dramatic, but we have been absolutely woeful.
