For a bottom feeding team, I really hate Southampton. Every year I hope they go down, but they linger on like a terminal disease.

3 points here would be huge.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

Bet365s First Goalscorer market is a bit odd for tonight's game.

They've got James Daly shorter odds than Tosun, Benteke (understandable), Ayew and Wilf to score first tonight, as well as Brandon Pierrick, Nya Kirby and Giovanni McGregor (??) all shorter odds than the rest of our midfield to score first.

Do they know something about our team selection that we don't yet?

On the flip side, Cahill is 33-1 and Tomkins 40-1 which look pretty generous given our recent record of having scored from a corner in each of our games since Saturday.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

Always seems to be a game which we should win but don't.
Last 2 meets ended in a 1-1, we're on a run of draws at the moment, looking like a 1-1 to me.

Not bad at all.

I used to always have a pre-match bet when you could do so in the ground and always had correct score/FGS and again would always go with a centre half.

I think the last time that paid off for me was Darren Ward shortly after we signed him! I'd seen him play for Millwall a few times and rightly stuck it on.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

The team had to work really hard for the point on Saturday, so hopefully they still have some energy left. Tosun looks really eager to prove a point and I have a feeling something in Wilf changed in that last half an hour on Saturday that could see him come out firing on all cylinders tonight. After some solid results Saints' heads might be down after throwing away a two goal cushion.

I've been pretty cagey in recent weeks, but I have this gut feeling we're going to come out and smash them. 3-0 to us. Two for Cenk and one for Wilf.

It nearly paid off away to Southampton in December. I do first and last goalscorer and Tomkins was 50-1. If Kelly hadn't given the ball to Ings.....
