Yes, 5 in 7 is unacceptable but I’ll take the ban if it saves us shedding a couple of goals over the season. It would be nice however if he cuts out the stupid unnecessary fouls. Spot on. Every top team in this division is making tactical fouls to stop quick counter attacks. It's about time we got on board and start being more nasty.

I would like to see McCarthy get a start to see what he can bring to the park, as I can't see Roy choosing a more attacking replacement away to West Ham (otherwise I'd suggest Camarassa). More likely Schlupp will step inside and Townsend will come in on the wing.

It’s never a good time to lose your midfield playing captain but we surely have cover in this area. I’d say we’re overrun with central midfielders. Now how any of them can hold and break up play? I reckon Roy plays the 2 Jimmy Macs alongside Kouyate.
