We could actually try playing Wilf and Andros wide and replace Kouyate with Sorloth if he's injured. Macca and Luka in the middle, Meyer Infront feeding the wings. Bentekkers suffers the same criticism when fit. No point having him charge about in the channels or picking the ball up on the halfway line when he's essentially a head on a stick. Ive asserted enough on Shaqiri and appreciate that the thread concerns Kouyate so perhaps the debate should really return to the subject matter. Perhaps money and strength in depth! Threads can be de-railed by tangential comments as part of a hackneyed line of debate and I had made my views patently clear and stand 'Four square' behind them.Others of course had differing views.The thread had veered well off course and I felt that in the interests of HOL the discussion should return to the subject matter. Returning to Kouyate, this is a player we really need against Man C for his sheer physicality and his ability to break up the play and provide cover for the defence.Man C get between the lines and he would have been useful denying them the spaces. There's truth in this and I appreciate where you're coming from. Sorloth might not be premier league quality, but we can't honestly judge until he's played to his own strengths: making him receive the ball early, cover ground and get into foot races is selling him short. Put the ball into him no further out than the penalty spot. All down to coaching. If Roy isn't prepared to adapt, you're probably right and there's no point playing him. Who else though?
