We may not have many attacking options on the bench but at least we have reliable alternatives at the back like Guaita and Kelly, which is reassuring.

Now we just need to work out a way to play both Hennessey and Guaita in goal simultaneously next weekend...

Ask me about Ronald de Boer.

Well done to my MOTM Martin Kelly. A great job & was very aware of what was going on around him. Ball-winning, control & distribution all very good.
Quality! And something for us to be happy about for a change.

Echo most on here...MK had a really great game, and has already been said, you never hear about him moaning, he trains hard and is ready when called upon. Great pro and great squad player, probably the best we have outside the first 11 in regard to depth...but that aint hard is it !?.

In AWB, Tomkins, Sakho, PVA, we have a great back four. In Ward, Kelly, Dann and Schlupp we have more than adequate cover. Ward maybe in final season for us but otherwise I have no concerns whatsoever with our defence.

Ward has got 3 more years on his contract.

Yes, which means we could sell him and get money for him. Just because he has a contract doesn’t mean we keep him.

You point out, rightly, that we have a decent back 4 with good cover in all positions. Why would we sell him only to have to replace with someone who would inevitably cost more?

The money needs to be spent elsewhere right now surely.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Because I would be bringing in a young understudy to AWB in case someone comes and offers us bundles of dough for him which is highly likely in the next year or so. I would therefore cash in on Ward whilst we can which would probably suit both parties as he is probably pretty desperate to be playing football at this point in his career. There is no reason why we can’t bring in a promising youngster for the same money we get for Ward.

🤣Yes, but Milivojevic shouldn’t be in such an advanced position
