Read somewhere, sometime ago, one of Connor's previous managers said that he loved the footballers lifestyle more than actually playing. If true, he probably in no great rush to return to normal training.

That guy is made out of glass, so we better get rid of him asap.
Get in a new Ian Wright that would be something.

Another Pardew signing along with Mutch who have proved very bad buys, together with that ex QPR keeper that let us down so badly.

Neither was I aware of that. Is that definitely the rule?

Can we loan in a goalkeeper if we're down to one? Or do we have to rely on younger keepers to play premier league football if the last one (of two) gets injured?

ISTR there are some emergency provisions for loaning keepers in some circumstances like that, did they kybosh them?

There is an emegrency rule for keepers.

"In such cases, clubs can apply to the league's board to take a goalkeeper on an emergency loan.

The league will look at how many fit professional goalkeepers are available to the club. Each each case will be judged on its merits.

If there is only one goalkeeper fit and available to the manager or head coach, the club would most likely be granted permission to sign another goalkeeper on a short-term emergency loan.

The club would then be free to approach other Premier League clubs to ask to take a goalkeeper on loan."

However it is possible as we have only named 2 this may count against us. The position of Kleton Perntreou will have to be explained as to my knowledge he is still contracted and not on loan

You can't not name players and keep spaces for free agents. That's why we named Mutch and Wickham etc.

If you have pros over 21 on the books then you have to name 25 and can only keep spaces for frees if you don't have 25 on the books. That's why it's gutting that Mutch didn't go out on loan. That would have given us another space rather than leaving us with that lazy talentless knob.

Not if they have a long term injury you don't, last I heard anyway.

That's not correct. You don't have to register anyone in the squad unless you want them to potentially play. This means that if Wickham was registered, there is clearly a hope that he can come back before January when the registration window reopens.

When it comes to the squad registration you can leave out whoever you want, they just become ineligible to play for your team.

I'm also sure whoever said the rule about emergency loans for keepers is wrong as I think that only applies for leagues outside of the Premiership.

Ive always been of that opinion. I think he dont like the daily grind going to training. I know this is a bad one but he had lots of knocks which would be a two week job take two months. Harry Kewell was similar and Bakary Sako is going the same way

I suggest you read rules before you post as you are completely incorrect

I know this is negative, but I reckon poor old Connor will be lucky to make another Premier game.
His injuries have been too severe to get a top level full recovery in my view.
Hope I am wrong.

There is a use for Sg Bilko. If he didn't behave like a 4 year old after not accepting being wrong for the umpteenth time.

We should forget Wickham and he should not have been included in the 25. Instead he should be shipped out inm January and save his wages.
