Met Prince Charles at a cocktail party at Sotherbys, some years ago.I didn't know at the time but loads of Buck House staff were doing some extra work on the side in the evenings.
When Charlie boy saw loads of his staff working he turned round and said "I hope there are still some people at home, looking after my mother"

My father met his Mum a few years ago when he went to Buck House to pick up a gong from her.

I was with him and stood just a few feet away from her

Judi Dench in the Horley branch of Waitrose. She's an Outwood resident apparently. There is nothing like a dame...nothing in the world....
We weren't shopping there. We just went in to see how the other half lived.
Very nice lady by the way.

Met most of Iron Maiden. used to be in the fan club many years ago and met them at fan club meetings and gigs. Totally down to earth guys, almost a disappointment as it was like talking to your mates down the pub, but genuinely nice guys. See Dickie Davies (yes him from World of Sport) every once in a blue moon. Usually he’s walking his dogs on the downs where I ride. Again, couldn’t wish to meet a nicer gentleman.

I was in the same class at school as Neal Purvis, screenwriter of the last few Bond films, Johnny English and SS-GB.

A weasely, smarmy little turd, disliked by staff and pupils alike.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Outside of my many Palace heroes I've met I'd have to say I had the most pleasure of meeting a non Palace hero - Paul Rose.

Blimey. That is quite impressive though. Our Alma Mater certainly has turned up few 'characters/killers' etc.

Unfortunately, it did for education what myxomatosis did for rabbits.
