I think any politician who is proven to have lied three times, should be chemically castrated.

Chemically castrated for the first lie. 30 lashes for the second. Loaded into a catapult and fired across to mainland Europe for the third. If that doesn't keep MP's honest nothing will!

......and here's something else. Why cant we have politicians who have actually had a job, no I mean a real job. Not a research assistant or lobbyist. I've never understood how someone in government can be promoted to being head of a particular department yet have no relative skill or experience in that field.

Diane James has resigned as UKIP leader after only 18 days.

One of the reasons cited was that she was traumatised after being spat at by some "lefty thug" at Waterloo Station.

Farage has had to put up with this kind of stuff for years now - he was abused and jostled by a bunch of activists whilst trying to enjoy a sunday lunch at a pub with his family.

You never hear about any Greens, LibDem or Labour politicians being subjected to this kind of abuse... the recent murder of the Labour MP by an apparently mentally challenged person excepted of course.

However, if anyone has any other evidence of it happening post it up... otherwise it reinforces my belief that the left abuse the democratic process by intimidating political opponents to achieve their aims.

Sounds like some righty thug in his own party has sparked out Steven Woolfe. Hope he's alright.

That is life these days i'm afraid. Hence why I hate with a passion, people that play politics at work o they can climb that ladder.

It's a little bit of a lazy generalisation. Just taking the Labour front bench:

Corbyn - was a journalist, McDonnell did loads of manual labourer jobs, Thornberry was a barrister, Watson worked in Advertising, Abbott worked in TV, Maskell worked in the NHS, Lewis was a BBC reporter. Burnham is a politician lifer I think but most of the rest are not.

I think it is definitely becoming more common, but there are plenty of politicians out there who have done real work.

Forced to attend every EU debate in the EU parliament, for life, without a vote or say for the fourth.

News report says an "altercation" took place.

Sounds more like your suggestion has taken place Dan?

And the last leader was unhappy at being spat on, presumably because the UKIP method of dispute is a good fisting.
