They seem very respectable types with a pride in their appearance.Nothing wrong with that.I have met a lot of such people at numerous Conservative functions.

Some people can wear almost anything and look smart, others no matter what they wear look trampy.
Never worn red burgundy staypress were very popular when i was a teen.

Two different colour luminous socks
Burgundy stay press trousers (that also change colour depending how the light catches them)
Fred Perry t shirt
Burgundy waffle cardigan

Trendy clothes of my teens.

As for red (or Salmon pink) trousers - they're definitely exclusive to posh country folk.

I bought a pair in 1981 when on holiday in Sweden. Pair of yellow too. All the rage back then ( well at least in Gothenburg ).
