I know you don't want to move out of the Colchester area but, if it all falls through, you are more than welcome to come and stay in my place in the Rhondda for a while. I guarantee you will get a place of your own with the local Housing Association in a very short time.

Very best of good fortune. Plenty of Churches also offer homeless support. Finally, Cameron was asked about homelessness situation today at PMQs = lame response and ultimately lamer legacy as PM. Keep believing and stay positive. No need to be political on a thread about being made homeless. I expect voting is the last thing on the bloke's mind. Wind your neck in Wolfie Smith.

Really sorry to hear of your situation Johnny especially as you served Queen and Country! Where are you actually living at the moment and what are you doing money wise for buying the essentials? I will do anything I can to help.

Just a thought, you show your location as Wivenhoe a place I know very well javing lived there myself. Wivenhoe is a university area and as students go home in the summer there is surely student accomodation empty right now. Any way to tap into that? Maybe via university itself or via Student union? Jope you get sorted mate. Colchester is an army town and should br looking after its veterans.

I will do anything I can to help. Well as I've said before the money situation is not a problem, I have funds. But most landlords will not touch people of my age because as they say when the funds run out how do you pay the high rents and live. Also the age thing because I am 68 they say I need sheltered or retirement accommodation which is true I suppose. Anyway I've got my name on many lists for those two forms of accommodation, it's just short term I need sorting. It's ironic really I am in Forest Row Sussex tomorrow night for a reunion with my old army pals, they might be able to help me out. I was in the Travel Lodge on the A12 at Feering in Essex last night, tomorrow who knows maybe the car will have to take the strain.....Thank you for your support.

Most landlords say I should be looking at sheltered or retirement accommodation. Which I've got my name down for, if you are over 40 in this country they think you no longer function. Even letting agencies don't want to know, I don't know why but thats the way it is. As I said it's short term I am looking for and I am determined to find something, thanks for your help.
