Quite. Nicola Sturgeon isn't an elected MP either.

No, but she is the elected First Minister of Scotland and is an MSP.

You don't think that if someone is planning to resign, they should make that clear before an election, in which they are campaigning? I think it shows poor respect for politics, the party and the electorate, to campaign on an issue that you have no intention of following up on.

Especially given he only seems to have come back to the fore of UKIP for that Brexit campaign. I get resigning if you lose, but to campaign for something, win and then call it a day. Still I think he's earned his retirement, even if I don't agree with his politics or how he plays the game. Hopefully we won't see him come back again when the dust has settled.

All part of the great British Politics sell out.

Now you sound like Johnny Rotten... LOL

Spot on! Take a step back and admire the mess that he has been ALLOWED to leave England in. BREXIT manifesto plan is...? (Doh...I forgot that they haven't got one = 52% STUPID!)

What mess?

More wishful thinking, sour grapes hogwash.

This referendum really has show up some people for who they really are.

Nigel Fararge has done what he intended and I'm sure he will have a role to play in the future.
UKIP will try to grab the middle ground from Labour and Nigel is not the man for that job.

I hope the left are decimated at the next election. Their inability to accept a democratic decision is nothing short of disgraceful and the Corbyn fiasco has made them a laughing stock. That's not mentioning the Chilcott inquiry which I'm sure the current rabble will try to distance themselves from. They can't. It was the Labour Party in government and Blair, Prescott and all the others are the same brand of hypocrite that fill that party now.

THIS........

Well said Hrolf.

How is that, as I understand it, to have a place in Parliament you have to be an elected Member of Parliament, and he's not, and he's the butt of all the jokes in the EU Parliament.

It's undemocratic isn't it, like the unelected senior EU bureaucrats and the imposed legislation on our country.

He thinks he's Garibaldi. Comes to the rescue of the country, removes occupiers from the Italian peninsula then buggers off back to his estate in richly retirement. What a hero.

As long as he puts his name to a biscuit then I'll agree.

A good old Jammy Custard Farage and a cup of tea. Yum.

I think 'Cash in the Chaotic' is punnier.
