Warcraft was a really bad example as I played WoW for several years and the only reason I don't still is that it is an insane waste of money. Anyone that purchases a game and then pays a fee to play it, needs their head checked. IMO of course.

Well, that was me and I have to agree entirely. At least you saw the light. It's the ones on FIFA that buy the game, pay the subscription to play online and then purchase FIFA points or whatever the f*** they are to make it easier/quicker. The whole point of a game used to be to clock it, i.e. achieve everything in it and get some longevity out of it. Now people pay to skip their own game! Bonkers.

I like games where you can play it for f*cking ages trying to to all the achievements. Totally agree. You know what? Although this thread has been sabotaged I almost hope that is what it was intended for. None of us are really talking about the subject he wanted to avoid!

I can remember taking games back to the shop if I completed them too quickly. If it wasn't a social game like a beat-em-up or a driving game it'd better be bloody awkward. Internet has ruined that too now, people just google how to do it. Even cheating back then was hard, you had to go and buy a cheat mag and hope they had one for that title.

I remember when every cheat was UP DOWN UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT A B A B I used to press that into every Master System game not even knowing whether it had a cheat attached to it.
