I bought a pair of royal blue chinos yesterday from my tailor.

Am I veering into dangerous territory?

Come and live in Bristol - the elected Mayor, George Ferguson is a classic red trouser pratt.

He has imposed Regional Parking Zones (RPZ's) all over the City together with cycle lanes, metrobus routes and other initiatives all designed to make Bristol greener he says, but for the rest of us it feels like a war on the motorist. The City is gridlocked with roadworks as his plans unfold.

None of this was on his original mandate.

If he isn't voted out this May I will be very surprised and not that surprised if he ends up being thrown off the suspension bridge!

We were the only city to get lumbered with a mayor. I was initially please that the mayor we got was at least not some party political tool, and actually independent.

As a cyclist I approve of some- but NOT all- of his policies. New cycle lanes? Brilliant. Metrobus? Not so much. RPZ? It's nice to be able to actually park outside my house (well, unless City are playing at home...) but I resent having to pay for the privilege!

Bristol is not a city suited to driving in the centre in the rush hour. It is gridlocked regardless of anything the Council or mayor might be doing. And yet thousands of motorists still flock to the centre each rush hour, then wonder why they end up stuck in traffic and can't move.

Bristol is the perfect storm of rubbish roads, rubbish public transport, and stupid one way systems, bus lanes and pedestrianized areas. It was like this before Ferguson was elected mayor. It will be like this when the next fool gets elected.

On topic- he does wear red trousers, and looks a bit of a tit doing so.

I spotted a so called 'hipster' today wearing red trousers... a funny shade acshually, could have been pink. I was about to attack him when I noticed that he was carrying a big stick so thought better of it. Hipsters wearing red/pink trousers aint stupid, they are carrying sticks or other concealed weapons to protect themselves.
Moral: never think of attacking a man in pink or red trousers, he is probably armed and ready to fight.

Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this Nature he’s destroying is this God he’s worshipping.
