Yes just as I thought, you won't answer. Okay, you live in Rotherham, you have a 13 year old daughter, 2 after school clubs, one run by 3 middle eastern Muslim males the other ran by 3 British women. What club would you choose ? Edited by rikz (24 Feb 2016 11.38pm) What have body searches got to do with teaching 3 year olds? I'd choose the club with the best facilities. Blimey, It's amazing how much you can find out about a person from reading just 2 or 3 of their posts. I'm amazed. Do you really think all male nursery teachers are nonces?

The fact is the statistics of a child being abducted/raped by a male are so much higher than that from a female. Banning males from working in nursery would see child abuse in nursery's drop. That's a fact and being offended has no relevance.

Read earlier in my posts of course I don't. Do you genuinely belive that children are as much at risk from women as they are men. The reason you can't serch the opposite sex is entirely to protect women from sexual assault. So why wouldn't you be offended by not being able to carry out a serch. The rules are there as they are saying you can't serch a female as you could potentially be capable of carrying out a sexual attack, why would you not be offended ?

Do you think males from a country with a lower age of consent are more likely to sleep with girls under 16 in our country ?

I'm still not sure why you bring up body searches, totally different kettle of fish to teaching kids. Edited by nickgusset (25 Feb 2016 12.09am)

Edited by nickgusset (25 Feb 2016 12.09am) Well I had a family member who worked in a nursery in Wallington, a female worker found a recording device in the staff toilets, police called an investigation took place. All female workers apart from a young gay guy and another older straight guy. No one wanted to point fingers but turns out it was the straight guy who unfortunately also had child p*** on his laptop. What a surprise who would of guessed. We will agree to disagree. I'm not going to apologise for putting the safety of myself, friends and family before that of offending someone. I could counter argue that females working in nurseries are dodgy because of the Plymouth case a few years ago [Link] , but I won't because you'd say it was ridiculous to not trust women in nurseries.

Of course not, statistcally there will be plenty of male nursery workers that are not paedophiles compared to those that are but also child abusers statistically higher, are male. It's basic maths, take males out the equation and the probability drops significantly.

I think if the boys want to go to Cubs let them go. As a parent you would be welcome to attend and find out more and ask as many questions as you can. When they get a bit older would you not want them to go to cadets or other groups either? I am sure you will find the leaders are a mix of men and women of different ages.

There are a lot of f***ed up people out there. As with anything whether cubs, cadets, dancing, gymnastics, martial arts etc. Do your research, talk to other parents and try to mitigate any risks. After that you have to let your kids grow and develop. Being cooped up and suspicious of everyone won't allow that.
