Player,manager,chairman, chief exec, pundit, broadcaster, dear Jimmy did the lot. Responsible for abolition of players maximum wage and 3 pts for a win.And he ran the line when the referee was unable to continue ! A great career in football and made an enormous contribution. RIP Jimmy and our thoughts go out to his family and friends at this sad time.

I never did quite get why the "Jimmy Hill is a w@nker, w@nker" was so popular in the 1980's. Never sung it myself but if it had been released as a single it would have been pushing Sir Bob for the number one spot back in 1984. Big chest and massive boobs [Link]

I never did quite get why the "Jimmy Hill is a w@nker, w@nker" was so popular in the 1980's. Never sung it myself but if it had been released as a single it would have been pushing Sir Bob for the number one spot back in 1984.

Scottish fans hated him and sung that because he was so biased to England and with our short comings in qualifying for tournaments back in the 70 and 80s the scots liked to rub it in . I think it was the 74 world cup when he was a pundit I remember him wearing a tartan jacket to state that he wasn't so anti scots . did he not also write the lyrics to the arsenal song " good old arsenal " ? big part of my football growing up , I`m going to miss the fella interviewer " iggy , do you think you influenced anybody?" iggy pop " I think I wiped out the 60`S "
