another stupid American import-like Haloween Its not American, its just been Americanised to the nth degree.
Its Halloween, here, the Celtic 'Day of the Dead' (and end of the year). Samhain (Sow-ween). Strictly speaking, its a festival and holiday older than the United States. Which was around what we'd term the end of October beginning of November (so the end of October makes sense as date). I supposed in fact it predates Roman Britain as a date. That's what I celebrate each year. Not that its a week before something like Thanksgiving, but something that even predates the idea of an England. old goths never die , they just wear more foundation and dye their hair more often ! True goths never die, they just become 'Undead Undead Undead'. I always like Halloween more as a grown up, as a kid it was s**t, but as an adult it was an excuse to have a wicked 'creepy' fancy dress party without seeming to be creepy. Nothing like a Halloween Fancy Dress party with some LSD spiked punch or mushroom truffle cake (clearly labelled).

My Sister works for a large store and they have been getting all the old stock and customer returns ready for Black Friday. They advertise high end products with slashed prices but only have a limited number in stock, In some cases just 1 item in stock. Its a chance to clear the shelves of all the crap and people fall for it.
