Thought McDonnell handled himself well on newsnight last night.

Shame that the majority of voters were out on the p1ss enjoying themselves on a friday night and missed it!

Yep. Can't member the last time I went out on a Friday night.

I didn't go out either due to my health issues, but used my Virgin Tivo box to record Adele, TFI friday, HIGNFY... watched and enjoyed the lot and then went to bed.

You don't have to watch Newsnight you know!

A good mate of mine is a huge fan of them since the 70's.

I think the lineup has changed a lot over the years and DD has spurned/created many other successful acts.

Might watch this on catch up later.... thanks.

Either he is a liability for signing something he didn't read or he's a liability because he believes it, secretly or otherwise.

This along with Red Ken yesterday. Labour not doing a very good job of convincing people they can defend the country.

Watch Diane Abbott say that McDonnell is not against 'MI5' and then squirm when faced with the photographic evidence of him supporting a group who want it disbanded:

This Labour lot don't know their arses from a hole in the ground.

So,they have (taking your extremely unbiased analysis at face value) more in common with Mr Farage than might have been thought?

Is that a socialist attempt at humour?

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

What an idiot.... he actually let Osborne have the book!

Loved Osborne's first observation - "Look, there's writing on the inside cover - this must be his very own signed copy!"

This won't be the last time we'll see this book... I imagine it will play a starring role in the 2020 elections, like the Treasury "note" Labour left in 2010 did at the last elections.

Serious own goal.

Wasn't the best way to show we are letting the Chinese build/run our power infrastructure.
Also the quote he read stated you should use experts advice to help run the economy rather than cocking it up yourself.

We must learn to do economic work from all who know how, no matter who they are. We must esteem them as teachers, learning from them respectfully and conscientiously. We must not pretend to know when we do not know."

This is eminently sensible whether written by Mao or Bradley Walsh. George Osborne's qualifications to manage the nations financial affairs are....well zero, he has nor formal training in economics or finance - not so much as an NVQ.

All of Osborne's financial decisions and policy come from a political bias - not the way to run a country I would suggest.
