I'm surprised there hasn't been more about this. Affordable, experienced, reliable and proven. Not an "A" grade signing but better than what we have and also has something to prove.

He's not better than Murray.

He's scored three goals for England in his 13 appearances for his country. remind me how many goals Murray has scored for England?

That's a silly question - Murray's never had the chance to play for England. Duh.

Lambert is no better than Murray.

you know...like you'd hopefully say in person down the pub..

What a k**b you are.
Crouch scored more than twice as many England goals as Ian Wright, so he must be twice as good .
Crouch is also better than Cantona as he scored more international goals.

If it's a mentor we want for Bamford, you could not ask for a better one than Murray. The one thing he clearly still has in his locker - post-cruciate - is centre forward nous. The way he played against Man City last season (or away at Sunderland and West Ham) showed just what a bright footballer he is.

Why would we want to mentor a Chelsea player?
It's sink or swim for Bamford ( like it was for significant, he sank), if he ain't good enough get jedinak to iron him out in training and send him back.

No idea. Wasn't mine, that's for sure.

Rickie Lambert is 'not' an upgrade on Murray and/or Gayle. With Bamford he is not needed. He has slowed right down and is to old now.
