Has Kit Harrington got a contract for the next series?

He has claimed that his character is dead & not coming back although he will be under some pretty big non disclosure agreement also if he is resurrected as someone else technically he is no longer Jon Snow.

Would be surprised if Jon snow is dead, he is far too important to the storyline & currently has one of the few remaining valyrian steel swords left in the seven kingdoms, plus the whole hardhome bit with the come at me crow scene was a waste if he really is dead.

Don't forget Beric Dondarrion of the brothers without banners has been ressurected several times by Thoros of myr who happens to pray to the same god as the red priestess who now finds herself at the wall, I suspect she will sacrifice herself my plunging snows sword through her heart to ressurect snow who will return as azor ahai or he could actually be dead in which case f*** knows

All I know, is I want the White Walkers to get as far as Kings Landing, I'm sold on the the idea, that everyone who isn't a Stark or a Dwarf, is a c**t, who deserves a good undead kid savaging their face.

Although we can expect more of Bran, next season, as the actor was given the season off, as the actor is studying for exams (his intention is that the money from Game of Thrones will pay for a degree and PHd).

Kids these days huh.

Smart kid I would of done the same if someone would have thrown a couple of million at me to do some acting

My only other slight take on the same theory is the books make a massive point of mentioning kissed by fire every time jon snow is near another sexy red head although there is no one more fire than daenarys...
so melisandre ressurects snow, daenarys eventually makes her way to the wall & daenarys & snow fall in love (snow is blatantly a targaryen after all) from here snow has to plunge his sword into her heart to become azor ahai who is then powerful enough to defeat the white walkers pretty much how the lore does it 7000 years or however long ago it was in the books

I'm not sure he's blatantly Targarian, what with his black hair, sturdy build, but he is certainly I suspect part Targarian, and of course if he's Stark and Targarian, he is fire and ice, and decended from the Andels and the first men, with two royal blood lines (the Starks were kings of the North).

That said, three dragons, some obsidian and a few Valayrian blades isn't clearly going to be enough. I'm not so sure that Azor Ahai so much beat the white walkers as held them off (hence the Wall and the Nights Watch).

One thing that is apparent is that both the White Walkers and the Dragons returned at similar times (ice and fire).

Also ice and fire, also refers to passion and cruelty, and most characters fall on one side of that scale more than others.

One thing I am certain off, he should keep that dire wolf around a lot more. Bad things happen to Starks who don't keep their Dire Wolf nearby.

Cant believe the b******s killed Jon Snow!!

I don't think he is dead, just dying. That's where the last book leaves off, with Jon Snow dying, in the snow. I suspect he will survive (possibly because Bran, via the Children of the Forrest, will intervene).

I also don't think Stannis is dead either. The old adage of 'they didn't show it, its not certain'. Brianne probably doesn't kill him. After all, generally when a character of note dies, we see it close up or at least see the corpse.

Similarly with Sansa and Reek. I suspect survival from the jump, thanks to a snow drift.

Thats what i was thinking Jamie, however as the red witch is at castle black i think she will bring him back, who he fights for after that is anyones guess...as with Stanis kinda hoping he still carries on

Has Kit Harrington got a contract for the next series?

The producers like to mess them about with contracts and story lines to keep them guessing. Heard it in an interview with Sansa where she said about them telling theon he was being killed off so he went and got another job which they had to get him out of to continue filming .

Also its tricky as some of Season 7 was likely shot as part of Season 6, given the renewal was a given (similarly they were shooting parts of 6 during 5 I believe).

You already have the internet, you have the capacity to watch it, even if you don't want to pay for it. Me, I'm waiting for the big boxed set jobbie before I pay for it.

* Spoilers and possibly mad ramblings below*

Can't see Kit Harrington leaving the show. Ignore what he and the producers are saying; they are just trying to sell uncertainty into the minds of the book readers who have all assumed he's coming back. It's even more ambiguous in the book, and heavily foreshadowed that he'd get ressurected.

I think the show will go a different route to how the book will handle it, but did no one else find it funny that Red Mel showed up at the Wall? Far too convenient.

Couple of pointers:

- They heavily hinted who Jon's parents are in S5. Why tell the audience, only for it never to be fully explored? When they are being selective with what they take from two books at the moment, why include that?

- Contract details were leaked last year. Kit Harrington was signed on for 6 seasons and an option on the 7th.

My prediction has always been that Jon "dies", is freed from his vows and leaves the Night's Watch. In the show, I think he will lead the Wildlings in liberating Winterfell, with probably Mel and Davos at his side.

Good read. I'm now convinced that he'll be back and Sansa has survived which is great news.
