..it's quite scary the amount of blokes that just go after retiring!

Usually people who retire early have a better outlook, something like 55% of people who retire at 65 are dead by 70.


The amount some manage to post on here, there must be a lot of early retirement going on.

But he didn't retire, or want to, he simply lost his seat and therefore his job.

A rare thing, a decent politician.

They also get a decent redundancy package Re- The poor old taxpayer. I would of thought a politician of his stature would have no problem finding work.

They also get a decent redundancy package Re- The poor old taxpayer. I would of thought a politician of his stature would have no problem finding work.

I'm sure he wouldn't have. The sudden stop of the routine that he'd been carrying out for 32 years was probably what accelerated his demise.

o kept out of the last government and believed going into coalition would damage his party - how right he was and could have resulted in damaging him more than others.
