F*ck them, with 28 GCSEs between them these aren't stupid little girls, these are intelligent girls who have realised war, rape & beheadings ain't all it's cracked up to be. GCSEs don't make you intelligent, teenagers are by their nature stupid, given to stupid romantic ideas, righteous and in rebellion against their parents. Didn't get posted out there at that time but I could have been it was the luck of the draw., if I was young enough to sign up for 6 years at the age of 16 ............it was their choice no sympathy from me. I'm for real, I joined the army at 16, yes 16, I knew just exactly what I was doing. The conflict in Aden was in full swing at the time, I could have been in that a year later at 17. Didn't get posted out there at that time but I could have been it was the luck of the draw., if I was young enough to sign up for 6 years at the age of 16 ............it was their choice no sympathy from me.

I don't see what that has to do with anything.

Sometimes some people get so caught up in the propaganda machine they don't realise the life they are giving up.

I know for a fact I made many stupid decisions in my late teens that I regret and there also some decisions I made that I don't regret. Doesn't make me perfect and doesn't mean I can use myself a moral yardstick either.

They're kids, that's all there is too it.
