basically what it say's in the title. i personally hope not (No offence)i am not racist at all just not something i wish to promote. Here's the link for those on PC rather than mobile: [Link] I personally have no issue with the building being used as a mosque. It's better than it being empty for years imo. Why are you against it? Because it will end up like west ham, once on is put in many more are, then the shops around them start changing to suit their needs opposed to everyone. Thats just a personal opinion. I would rather it was put to better use, perhaps a health centre. Although that's never going to happen You should do some research on the group before you make judgements like that, Ahmadiyya are a progressive group that have a history of doing positive things for their communities. Here is a link to there website if you want to take a look. Its more of an observation, in comparison to another part of London. Who is judging the group? I am not. I did not say anything about their religion or my opinion of it for that matter. However what I did state is surroundings tend to change after a mosque occurs. It is east to point out the positive aspect of a religion as much as it is for me to point out those who want to make sharia law enforced for specific areas. i would rather it was not turnt into any specific religious sanction. Your observations are based on fallacies. Mosques don't simply spring up without any reason, rather they tend to reflect the community that they reside in. Newham borough has the second highest percentage of Muslims living there hence why there are Mosques and other stores that serve the people who live there.

shame any pub has to be turned into anything but its original purpose.. usual choices: flats (or apartments) How about a place that sells reasonably priced beer, where you can smoke, swear, & let off steam from usual pressures, before going back to it all...
That for me was a brilliant outcome. I'd rather pubs stay as pubs, but a lot of them are failing due to a whole host of reasons.

would there be as much kerfuffle if it was to be turned into a synagogue, seventh day adventist church or gurdwara etc etc?

A pub is a pub even if it is a former pub. A place of worship is a church so if we aren't using them as lapsed Christians why can't Muslims use them for worship? That way we reuse them for the purpose they were intended, they fit discreetly into the locale and the architecture does not look out of place. Images can be replaced by patterns and they already face east. Problem (if there ever was one?) solved and more respectful to the old buildings than being used as carpet warehouses etc.
