What a stunning slip catch by Chris Jordan yesterday.

You're asking me what it's all about, and I can't tell you because I don't know what's going on myself.

Trott: out.
Cook: out.

20 - 2.

Doesn't matter. As long as we get 280/300 on the board. Root will get us there

It does matter.

Cook has now put himself under pressure for his place and Trott needs to go back to how he's been at his best for England, which is starting patiently and batting long around the quicker scorers.

If one of the three I named earlier fails in this innings, and Buttler or another doesn't step up, we could easily lose.

Absolutely agree with you 100% Stu.

Of course it matters.

Teams like the Aussies and Sarf Afrika become great because they nurture great opening batsmen.

Cook is a busted flush - all bowlers know his weakness and Trott is low on confidence/stressed like Trescothick was.

We need to replace both before the Ashes.

Even if the openers don't score, at least see of the new ball so 3 & 4 can.

Good start today. Two quick wickets including Anderson equalling Beefy's all time Test wicket haul.

Optimistic as ever

And we snatch a draw from the jaws of victory following an afternoon of appalling bowling. Again.

Absolutely pathetic.

The pitch on day 5 was lifeless for our pace bowlers and wasn't turning either.

Well credit where it's due, England's final day in the last test was most impressive, and slightly made up for the Selhurst sh*tfest.

Incredible performance from Anderson.

Quite the opposite from Trott.
