We have our highest ever Premier League points tally at this stage of the season, under a manager who already delivered our highest ever points tally over the course of a full Premier League season & has kept us well clear of any relegation dog fights from the start This has all been done on a budget of next to nothing, with the highest average aged squad in the league whilst giving 3 academy prospects their Premier League debuts in the process. One of whom is now an England international, the other started for us tonight. These are simply facts. Unbelievably, despite all of this, I've seen Frank Lampard, Eddie Howe & even Pardew(!?) banded about as his immediate replacement without any hint of sarcasm. The entire thing is a joke that would be funny if it weren't so tragic. But the infantile campaign to get Roy removed from his position is easily the most hysterical & disappointing show I've ever seen as a Palace fan.
It's very easy for a reprise on why Roy is 'great' after a win (which anybody would honestly say was unexpected putting it politely.) Let's see about points at the end of the season.....like Roy has said before, "nothing matters until the end of the season." It isn't pretty football and it certainly isn't entertaining comparative to many other seasons. It's a forum for opinions so i'm not sure why you suggest peoples opinions are infantile and tragic as if you feel your opinion is far greater than everyone elses. That itself, is infantile.

Actually no, you seem to have conveniently (& probably deliberately) ignored the post. Let me just recap: We have our highest ever points tally at this stage of a Premier League season. Roy delivered our highest ever points tally in a Premier League season. He is the only manager to keep us comfortably clear of relegation since we came up. He is the only manager to have brought through academy players to Premier League football. 3 academy players to be precise. 2 very successfully. He has worked on a budget of next to nothing. He has the highest aged squad in the league. This has absolutely nothing to do with one game. The one game tonight, yes, we nicked it but so what? You have to nick games at all levels of professional football. As far as tonight goes, this was approached as a must not lose. And when you've lost 2 on the spin in very poor fashion and have the drum nonces down at the training ground fresh from the arts & craft shop - it was imperative we avoided defeat. And guess what? We did avoid defeat and we hung in long enough to nick it at the death. 3 points added to our total tally & I'll repeat - our highest ever points tally at this stage of a Premier League season. What winds me up is the hysteria & nonsense surrounding the whole affair. Roy has done a better job than anyone before him in the Premier League for us without any tantrums. And he deserves far more respect for his contribution than this. Edited by Mstrobez (22 Feb 2021 10.43pm)

Good to see some commitment back in defence. If he wants to leave on a high he can go tonight. It’s the same aul Brighton every week. Every team knows you just have to sit in and wait for your chance to counter. Yet Potter gets branded as the greatest thing since jam on toast. The clown get set up like a kipper week in and out.

Is that what you’re saying, because we’re the laughing stock of the league! Even the Sky pundits were laughing. If you are prepared to pay an arm and a leg for a season ticket to witness that every match then good luck because I most certainly am not.

In following Palace for over 50 years, we have never played possession football. The Scouser on sky was right,we have played this way for years, just a bit more successfully than in the past, as we are never in danger of relegation with Roy in charge.

The clown get set up like a kipper week in and out. There defence was absolute shambles for both goals, and their shot conversion rate is terrible. We have a much better starting 11. Just imagine how good we could be with a half decent manager.

We really don't have a better starting eleven. Just imagine if we gave our present manager some money to spend.
