Leicester have players that can pass the ball and then make space for themselves to receive it or make themselves available with movement, they just highlighted the difference between the abilities of both sides, when we play the way of big sam we are harder to break down but to say the score would've been that bad is dismissing the confidence of our squad due to the last awful results, yes they probably deserved to win that but we finally got ourselves back to our usual way during that second half when we really if we could actually string three passes together held out for a very fortunate win, I expect to see Eze come on against Sheff.U to help with our control while attacking we can hopefully afford to risk him.
Our ball control is quite awful and I'm not going to mention our abysmal passing, poor Mr Hodgson has had to put up with this for too long and for anyone to blame him for it is ludicrous even Riedewald joined in with it.

I take it that you are trying to wind up most of the readers on here TP with your ‘poor Mr Hodgson comment. Quite clearly you are aware that Mr Hodgson is the manager and such has responsibility for coaching, tactics and motivation of the team he selects and puts out until he departs at the end of the season and that maybe most of the problem.

However, I will not take 1-1 against Sheffield as they are one of the few clubs who are, on paper, worse than us. If we lose to them we should hand in our cards to the league and go home...

I have a very strong feeling that we will be handling in those cards and heading home - Sheffield will best us I’m afraid. We really aren’t that good anymore and Hodgson changing the system which I believe most were asking for hasn’t helped.

What a surprise, yet ANOTHER mistake by VAR.

No one saw, and Leicester were smart enough to take the goal kick quickly.

You seemed to miss the fact, we changed 5 players as well.
You make out Leicester played a youth team, everyone of them has played in the first team before.

Mate we changed 5 players because we just got pinged in the previous 2 games by an aggregate of 10 - zip..!!

Whereas they made 7 changes off the back of having won 3 and drawn 1 - huge difference..!!

Therefore credit is due, the fact that we had a poor run, came up against a top four team and got a result.
Still mid table.

The draw stopped the rot and before the game I was asserting that I would be happy with a point.

Leading up to their goal, we just weren't able to retain any possession up top and in the end we conceded a poor goal with Barnes able to shoot home in spite of being surrounded by 3 of our players.Benteke back to his usual poor display.

Good point today. I'm not sure anyone on this thread would have expected a point, especially given our last 2 matches.

What worked today was:
Mitchell on for PVA - yes they targeted him, but I thought he played well.

Schlupp and Townsend - they ran like heck and defended. Our wings were no longer a liability.

What didn't:
Our passing was largely atrocious other than Wilf. Luka has the occasional good game, but generally isn't very good at passing. Riederwald was off today, although I think he's the opposite (good usually, but the occasional stinker).

Benteke - couldn't get anything going. He's good with smaller center backs, but other than that isn't. Go for Bats, his positioning is so much better.

To sum it up - we were lucky with such a poor penalty taken. Luka's tackle of Choudry wasn't a red, yes a yellow. Wilf's goal was a thing of magic. Barnes had some skill, but also got lucky, just hit it in between Tomkins and Luka (who probably was more at fault), and it fell right.

Overall 1-1 was probably slightly flattering, but not crazy.

I have to say the Leicester manager really screwed that up. He wanted to rest his best players, but ended up playing them for most of the second half just to chase 1 point.

If he had played them from the start, they likely would have won easily, and he could have subbed them out at half time.

2 points wasted, and no one rested.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

Totally agree. If anyone is in for criticism from his set of fans, it's Brendan Rodgers. But hey ho

Yup, we got a point because they picked the wrong team. Barnes looked better when they brought on the quality players and we couldn’t handle him. Our midfield was better today with Eze on the bench. I know most want him to play but Zaha has his position in my opinion?

Well I did, plus several others posting on here and at least one of our players (who immediately appealed to the referee).

Why, I'm just saying that the players are at fault and not the coaching staff including Mr Hodgson, how Am I winding anyone up?
