Im on the side of the it wasnt that bad crew. We were on top when they hit us on the break, but they had us from there.
The Kouyate substition was just odd, baffling when we had Townsend.
Two facts i think are beyond dispute.
We dont create enough chances.
We dont take enough of the chances we create.

That is concerning.

We were playing a well drilled Everton side with some excellent players on show. However, I am also puzzled by Roy's substitutions and the fact we sit back and don't create/ take our chances. Football is a very simple game ... you just put the ball in the back of the net more times than the opposition to win.

Exactly, poor substitutions, often too late in the game.
Defensive mindset,time for a change.

I'm likening RH to a chef who has to make a simple, humble dish and yet gets it wrong. He has the ingredients before him yet uses them in the wrong proportions and then overbakes them...

Meyer has been nothing short of awful for us and if he hadn’t of come with a big name and reputation then he would be ridiculed. He is a bang average football player who I would happily never see on a pitch for us again.

Meyer is everything that is wrong the club, signed in a fanfare of being a wonder signing, therefore raising expectations of fans. He has been a disaster, I don't think he has one good game, where he has dominated the midfield. The occasional good pass, but that's it, for £100k a week, we have a right to expect more.
I don't except the excuse about not being played in his right position, a good player can play anywhere, see Reideweld at full back.
The longer he isn't on the pitch, he bizarrely becomes a better player in some peoples mind.
Should be first one out the door.

Agree his failure to use Townsend was odd. Ayew battled away but is no winger and could have been pushed into the middle or up front.

I like that. He's certainly a chef completely incapable of doing anything other than following the one recipe that his grandma taught him.

Margins mean nothing in football. You either win lose or draw. It is irrelevant if you play fantastically and lose or play crap and lose. I thought we played good for 20 mins today, the rest was rubbish and we got exactly what we deserved out of the match, feck all.

Yesterday's game somewhat encapsulated our problems.Yes we did have a good spell after we equalised but, it was only a spell. That has been the case most of the season with us regularly serving up some pretty mediocre fayre with just a few bright spots in between. However, if we don't score in those good patches we are in trouble.

What is slightly mystifying is that our line-up now is very similar to what it was this time last season and yet we are performing poorly compared to then.

Our away form in particular was very impressive in the 2nd half of the season last year and made up for our home deficiences. Worringly, at the moment, our away results are not compensating for our home woes.

Well thing is he hasnt really had a run of games and Roy has no idea how to use him. Meyer is a mental player who outwits the opposition in pass creation. Coming in as a sub when we are one down and playing him in the wrong position is not imho enough to castigate him

I think that there is a split these days with us fans. There is the Roy out bunch who will look for negative’s and faults at every opportunity then there are the Pro Roy group who are looking at the glass half full side of things.

I can’t see this war ending anytime soon.

dont worry it will be verrry clear when we are in the championship very soon!
