Black people are being killed with impunity, but not by cops. Every 14 hours a black male is murdered in Chicago. Shall we speak about that, will Fox News have phone ins? Will politicians condemn it? Will people march in the streets? No,(mainly) white liberals don't seem to care... White people get held to a higher standard than some black dude from the ghetto. White man kills a black guy= criminal, put him in jail. Black guy kills another black....nothing,it's like we think ah well... What do you expect? We should all be held accountable for our actions, and as long as the white liberal puts the bar so lo for black people, they will continue to kill each other.
When cops kill black people, it's rarely investigated and, when it is, the cops almost always walk free. You're failure to recognise this fundamental difference between these two problems can only be, at this point, deliberate. Edited by Ray in Houston (27 Jul 2016 3.04pm)
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

I don't see how this relates to Police officers killing people with excessive force. You seem to have a divergent view that thinks that the Black Civil Rights movement should do what you want, rather than its own remit. And Black Civil Rights movements are very big on the issue of black on black murder and gang violence. Just not this one.
*Blacks are 200x more likely to commit crime against whites, than whites are against blacks Why isn't there a White lives Matter... the stats prove they are more likely to be victims of crimes from blacks? Also in 99% of the cases, if you comply with the police, then nothing happens

Why do people cherry pick stats... It's almost impossible to have a adult discussion on it. dude resists arrest, he is armed and reaches for gun, police shout warning, then shoot him. It's utter bulls***...i'm all for being liberal, but this is getting f***in pathetic. Just look at the numbers... don't watch the news where FOX/CNN/SKY sensationalise it, so they get viewing figures to bump up their advertising profits, look at the stats, be brave enough to spk your mind without fear or favour, try to find what is the root cause and try to affect change, or at least have a opinion that is informed. Be prepared to have your views changed, be prepared to hear some uncomfortable truths, avoid biased viewpoints

Because other groups are focused specifically on that. It may seem absurd to you, but it seems pretty sensible, to focus on areas where there are no pre-existing groups. BLM is their name, not their mission statement. Originally posted by 7mins
*Blacks are 200x more likely to commit crime against whites, than whites are against blacks And they're also likely to be properly investigated by the police, and pursued by the criminal justice system. Which means, system in place, works (and in their favour). Originally posted by 7mins

Mosby, and the part she played?

As a mixed race man, I've never had a single problem with a police officer... even when I got a ticket for not wearing my seat-belt (there is a thread on here)

Also...what is the issue BLM are fighting... it started out as violence against blacks after the Zimmerman trial... but quickly changed when they realised the biggest killer of blacks is... go on have a guess.

Be prepared to have your views changed, be prepared to hear some uncomfortable truths, avoid biased viewpoints I think that's reasonable, but you still need an independent body to verify the shooting and use of force - Shooting in self defence. However, in several of the stories that have come up, include that of white Dylan Noble, the going for a gun is definitely not the case. I guess it depends if you think the police shouldn't be held accountable for their actions that result in killing someone. Personally, when the state kills, even if its probably in self defence, I want that clarified by people who don't have a vested interest in a specific verdict. It doesn't matter to me, what race they are. I would want every single shooting by a police officer independently investigated.
