Went swimming tonight at my gym, which previously unbeknown to me was a polling station. UKIP chap on the door was thoroughly pleasant, held the door for us a total of 4 times. Manners and dignity always welcome. Still wouldn't consider a vote for them but there's a correct way to present yourself. This lot however [Link]
Lol, now that's a comeback - was expecting you to bite but you got me there you funny f*****

Cast my Ukip vote tonight in Wisbech. Felt good......though it matters little. The country is fecked whatever happens and this next five years are going to be pretty difficult. I almost hope the left do get in......It will finally open a lot of eyes. Edited by Stirlingsays (07 May 2015 10.18pm)

One thing it has taught me though is to never listen to lefties moaning about unfairness from the right wing press or media as many of them are absolutely no better than what they complain about.

And I wonder how many potential UKIP voters went back to the Tories instead today after falling for Cameron's referendum promise not realising the broader implication? Labour in the doggy doo doo.

Their vote is up considerably from the last election. They are growing as a party, which is the important thing. The EU elections are always going to see them get their biggest vote as that's what Ukip are......A protest vote against our current relationship with the EU. The EU and immigration are important topics but there are plenty of other important considerations in an election vote and that's always going to reflected in a national election. The UKIP party balloon has been popped tonight Stirling even with their vote considerably up. Cameron will announce a referendum in the not too distant future and their raison d'ętre will effectively be over purely because they won't be part of the Government coalition which, let's face it, was the real ambition not so long ago, in order to make sure that the referendum was presented as Nigel believed it should. It won't be now. We are not leaving the EU and I for one am very glad. Edited by Kermit8 (07 May 2015 10.44pm)
More like wishful thinking. For a lot of Ukip voters the continuing of the party is irrelevant compared to winning the giving of a referendum on EU membership. I don't vote for a party out of some love for the party....I vote for principles I believe in. Edited by Stirlingsays (07 May 2015 11.17pm)

He, rightly imo, believes the coming referendum will be diluted and skewed and not presented fairly to people like yourself without UKIP having a strong say in the matter. Which they won't after tonight. None of the main guys want a Brexit. Edited by Kermit8 (07 May 2015 11.26pm)

The great thing is that it looks increasingly like more UKIP policies will be adopted by the incoming government to shoe up its support to its core vote. Another step in the right direction. When Carswell becomes leader, we will see changes to the party. Overall, happy so far. Let's see what the results bring.
